A late 17th-century Japanese Imari porcelain jardinière, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, iron-red, turquoise and gilt with flowering chrysanthemums and scrolling foliage. 

In country house condition, with historic metal staple repairs, age-related wear and losses to the gilding.
