Late Regency Oak and Maple Writing Table, circa 1830
In the manner of Gillows of Lancaster and London, circa 1830.
Constructed principally in oak and enriched throughout with finely figured maple embellishments. The rectangular top fitted with an inset tooled leather writing surface, flanked to either side by pierced brass balustrade galleries. Raised on turned spindle end supports with elegant downswept legs, terminating in brass caps and casters.
